Chapter Six: VampireIt is morning when I open my eyes again and I have nothing but a coat draped around my shoulder. I ache terribly everywhere when I sit up and blush a brilliant color when I realize that I am not alone. Quickly, I gather the coat up to cover my nudity. "A little late for that, darling," the man in the carriage with me says. He teases me with a fond tone and a small smile that tells me that he does not mind terribly if I lose the coat. "I- you- who're you?" I whisper. His eyes widen. "I apologize," he says and within a blink of an eye, is kneeling in front of me. Before I realize what's happened, he had taken my hand in his and pressed a kiss on the back of my hand. "I am Charles. I have long given up on my family name. It is a hassle thinking of a new one every time
