Unlike the passionate and wordless kisses from before, our lips have been like two mild feathers that gently met in the breeze. They separated after a touch, but they have been also at a distance.
The intertwined breaths blended like milk and water. We were like two wolves snuggling up to every different for warmth on a winter night. We closed our eyes and enjoyed this quiet moment.
“Catherine .” Mark sighed. “I love you.”
“I love you too, my shepherd and my knight.”

The comfortable day ended, and it used to be late at night. Mark had to go back to the camp. The camp nonetheless strictly enforced the curfew on this grand festival. He despatched me again to the palace, and we parted ways.
