Chapter Three

Noah's POV: It was interesting to watch her squirm under my touch, exciting even. I was determined to the condition to beg for more. But that can wait and I'll have that on my time. Because now was the time to make her work with me and knowing her, she wouldn't take any risk to put her career in danger and that also gave me the way to figure out that her marriage wasn't so happy after all. "Okay, relax I will try to be as professional as possible.. Or not." Her face went relaxed to panic in a second as I said that which made me double over, "Ah, that look in your face was worthwhile to watch." "It was not funny at all, Noah." She seethed in anger. "But it is fun to rile you up though. Anyway, I'll be almost always gone and the time when I'm here, I'll be mostly busy with photoshoots and interviews. So you won't even see me much, you have nothing to worry about." I comforted her. A knock interrupted our conversation as Michel walked in upon permission. "Mrs, Angelos, Mr. Martinez you are both to follow me to Mr. Angelos' room. He is done with his meeting and have the slot free." Eva got up from her chair and looked at me, "We can take up the rest at there, if you have no problem with that." "Not if a lady as enchanting as you say so, Mrs. Angelos." I dragged the last words as she threw fire with her eyes if it was possible. "I guess you have already taken everything under your control, Mrs. Angelos." Michel chimed in. "Not complaining to be under her control though." I replied, wanting a reaction from Eva. "I didn't know you had your way around words, Mr. Martinez." She grinded the word out of her teeth with the fakest smile. "It's not too late to get to know me though." "I think we should hurry before Mr. Angelos gets impatient, he is quick at that." Michel interrupted. The tone of her felt odd to me it got almost quite fond as Mr. Angelos name came. I turned my gaze to Eva whose face was displaying a frown before she walked out and I followed behind with Michel on toes. *** "It's a pleasure to finally meet you Mr. Martinez, Michel talked highly about you and your, what do you call them, Michel?" Sebastian asked his secretary for back up. "Travel films, Sir." Came the reply. "Yes, travel films. She won't stop talking about them." He was still talking about Michel in pretense of me. Was he that friendly to all his employees? Or this was a special case? Noah, seems you are being desperate to prove that Eva isn’t happy without you. My inner-self butted in. "All good things, I hope? Well, I have to really praise your wife though, correct me if I'm wrong, you both have the same surname?" I asked in confirmation, getting a positive head nod from Sebastian, before continuing, "She is by far the most business focused woman I have ever met." "Yes, my darling is too upright for her own good but that is the thing I like about her the most. Business always comes first to her and I guess she loves my company more than I do." He gave a boisterous laugh as he pulled Eva closer to him and wrapped his hand around her waist. The urge to break his hand came as a surprise to me. To think I couldn't move on from a woman who broke up with me because she couldn’t wait for me to be successful and currently married to the man infront of me, was mind-blowing. "I am only doing what I love. That's nothing special." "I know that dear." He removed his hand and got back to his chair, after motioning us to take a seat and requesting Michel to bring coffee for us. "We can now come straight to the business. So, Mr. Martinez let's discuss the terms and conditions shall we?" **** "Well, I think that concludes it. Send me the papers and my lawyer will go through them before I sign, if that's alright?" I asked as I put down the coffee mug on the table. "That will be absolutely okay. In fact Eva will take them to you, so that we can be informed as soon as possible if a problem arose, is that okay with you?" Sebastian asked the last part to Eva. "Yeah, no problem." Eva replied, sounding lost as she was rubbing her fingers on the texture of the mug in her hand. "So, I will take your leave then. I have an interview scheduled at 8." I said as I extended my hand for a hand shake. "Sure, Eva will walk you out." He said accepting my hand. "Thank you, Mr. Angelos. Hoping it will be a pleasure to work with you." "The pleasure will be all our." Leaving a smile I walked towards the door to held it open for Eva and without a word she walked out. "Watch how you talk about me infront of others. Don't talk in that flirtatious manner again." Eva whisper yelled once we came to a somewhat desolated place. "Oops, my bad. But you can't really blame me though. We have a history of five years and it is hard to avoid your habits, isn’t it?" "Don't bring the past." "If I really wanted to do that, do you think your husband would've suggested you to walk me out." "I-" "Leave it, Eva. Don't know what you have got in your mind but I don’t have time for you right now. You see, I have got schedule to maintain because unlike you, I made my own career." And this time, I walked out leaving her behind.
