Excerpt Artificial intelligences can be so difficult when they want to be. RED activated the rocket pack’s maneuvering jets to move them far enough away from the door so the blast wouldn’t affect them then triggered the weapon. The bomb blew the door in accompanied by a shower of sparks and a loud thump audible over then the wind. Acrid smoke billowed out from the passenger cabin swept away by the force of the rushing air at this altitude. The twin external rocket engines on the dirigible were still running and Red could register the heat. They needed to avoid going near the exhaust ports of the powerful engines. “Hold on. We’re going in fast. Prepare to fire at any moving target.” “Okay, RED.” Virtue responded his tone sharp and focused. A hint of doubt occurred to RED suggested by previous experience. “Set your weapon on stun, Virtue, we don’t need another Toledo.” He didn’t respond but she knew he understood. The last thing they needed were multiple fatalities as they did in that dead end bar outside the Ohio city when Virtue in a panic fired his weapon into a crowd of angry bikers.
