  VENUS   It was Drew, his tongue hanging out of his mouth as he panted heavily. His eyes twinkled with joy to see me but the hand in his collar kept him from running to me. The guard who had saved me from Wren and ravished me in the library held him down, his turban hiding his facial expression.   I hesitated for a wee second before running to meet my dog.
