I froze when he opened the door and Mina appeared in front of us.
She looked between the two of us and asked, "What exactly were you two doing in there?" I quickly ran through everything she could have heard in my mind as a sudden wave of heat swept over my body.
As Fabio did the same, I chanced a glance his way. I then turned to Mina and shook my head.
I made an effort to play it off, but I knew the tremor in my voice made me look bad. "Nothing, we needed to talk, that's all," I said.
She smirked and said, "Oh, I heard something in there, but it certainly wasn't talking."
He moved around her and said, "Don't be ridiculous, Mina. We were talking about an issue at work."
"In the restroom?" she enquired.
"Yes, I discovered her here. You sent me up here to look for her."
