Chapter 6Now that Harry was standing in front of his neighbor’s house with two detectives from the Haydon Cliff Police Department, he felt pretty stupid about the whole thing. He had no proof that anything had happened the night before, and now that he had all day to think about it, Harry figured the cops would probably laugh at him. Yet he’d stupidly stopped at the police station after school to make a report anyway.
They were two macho-looking dudes who could probably beat the crap out of Harry without trying. Sean Callahan and Edgar Lopez were their names. And they were famous names in Haydon Cliff. They’d had a couple of high profile serial killers in the area not that long ago, weird considering how tame the Cliff was, and these were two of the detectives that worked the cases.
