Chapter 9

STEFANO POV

“Dean where are you going? Aren't we supposed to go to the cafeteria together?” I asked my best friend who just stood up and picked his bag while I was still sitting down.

“Oh about that erm....... am sorry Stefano but you have to go without me. I have to do something really important right now. If you don't mind please excuse me I am in a hurry.” he said without even waiting for my reply, he just left.

Well maybe he is going to the library or he has to see a teacher because Dean who I know won't go to the cafeteria without me. If am not going, he will also not go. He would rather go to the library and spend all the break period there than to go alone.

I stood up and picked up my bag. I began to walk to the cafeteria. As I was walking pass arts class, I stopped when I heard something that got my attention. I waited to confirm if I really it heard correctly.

“That ugly human really piss me off. Why isn't it us that Dean is talking to? Why her? What's so special about her? You girls saw that he didn't even look at us but rather his eyes were on her like she charmed him. Right?”

“You are right.” one girl answered.

“It seems like he was in a trance or something.” a different voice said.

These girls were all talking about Dean and Arianna. From the description, it's only Arianna that is a human here so it's definitely her. But what is this that I hear about her and Dean? I need to hear the whole thing.

I turned and walked into the classroom. Everywhere became silent as I entered. I walked to the window where the girls where sitting. They were just three girls.

“Hey you three tell me what happened between the human in your class and Dean.” I ordered them going straight to the point. I didn't have time to waste right now and I was getting angry.

“Alpha you see, earlier in the morning Beta Dean came in to see the human. He talked to her and even smiled before leaving. We were talking to her trying to find out what she did to make the Beta Dean talk to her when he entered again not long and they left together.” one of the girl said.

“Do you know where they went to?” I asked them.

“No we don't. They just left.” another girl answered in a voice that was annoying and loud.

What's wrong with her? I wondered. Well she is the least of my problems. I need to eat first before I find my best friend.

I knew they were close but I didn't expect that Dean will be this close with her that he will leave me for her. If she wasn't my mate, I would have thought that maybe she was Dean's second chance mate. But this isn't right. My best friend shouldn't be hanging around with my mate.

“You can't blame him because he doesn't know that she is our mate after all she rejected us so it isn't wrong for them to be close. It's your fault in the first place. Everything is your f*****g fault.” my wolf said growling angrily in my head before he went mute again.

I left the classroom feeling so angry. I didn't know what was the reason why I was feeling this angry but I was so angry. My wolf words really got to me that isn't a lie. I didn't want to be angry with Dean because he doesn't know about that human and I. Also I couldn't be angry with the human because she means nothing to me. I don't love her neither do I want her.

I walked to the cafeteria and immediately her scent entered my nostrils first. She is here. I looked around searching for her so I could warn her to stay away from my friend only to see her laughing. I was just about to look elsewhere when the person who was sitting next to her captured my attention.

The person who refused to go to the cafeteria and said he was going somewhere was sitting right beside the human girl and was talking to her. He was the reason why she was smiling.

I began to boil in anger. Why would he leave me for her? I couldn't help it, I didn't realize when I let out a growl. I only noticed that everyone was looking at me. I didn't say anything I just walked to where they were and sat down in their front to avoid attention.

“Hey Stefano what's up? Are you okay? Why did you growl like that?” Dean asked looking at me.

I looked at the human girl and saw she was still eating her food like I wasn't f*****g sitting right in front of her. She is really ignoring me.

“I thought you said you were going somewhere important? I didn't expect to see you here.” I glared at him so he could know that I wasn't happy that he lied to me.

“Am sorry about that Stefano. I actually made plans with Ari earlier that we would eat together that's why I had to go with her.” he said.

“I have heard you but your punishment is that you would go get my food for me.” I said.

Instead of him to get angry, he only smiled and nodded before he stood up and left. I couldn't help but feel sad that I sent him. It will now look like am forcing my authorities on him but I will never do that to him. For crying out loud he is my best friend and not only that, I see him as my brother.

But the reason I sent him was so I can have an alone time to warn this human because it seems she doesn't listen at all. After I warned her the other time, she still continued smiling at my best friend. I knew her plan. I have come across girls like her.

She is using my innocent best friend against me to make me feel bad. That's so unfortunate of her because I now know her plans and I won't let her do such a thing to my best friend. I will never let anyone hurt my best friend ever again.

“Can you stop eating like a pig who has never seen food to eat for days and listen to what I have to tell you now.” I said to get her attention.

The moment I said this to my pack members, they will quickly react and drop their spoons, sit upright and look at me with close attention. But not this stubborn human.

After I said that, she didn't even drop her spoon or look at me. She f*****g continued eating her food ignoring me like I was not sitting right in front of her.

I was already getting frustrated with her. If not that she is my Dad close friend daughter, I would have taught her a dangerous lesson but I can't do anything to her because she has my Dad's back now. He has already given everyone instructions not to hurt his human friend and his family. Even I can't disobey him or else he won't go easy with me.

“Aren't you the one am talking to or have you gone deaf or something?” I asked her.

She still didn't say a word. She continued eating her food.

“I can see the game you are trying to play. If you like pretend not to hear me, I will still speak. Stay the hell away from my best friend. I don't know what you have done to him that is making him get closer and closer to you but this nonsense has to stop right now. If you are trying to use him to get back at me, don't f*****g go further because I will kill you if you hurt my best friend. Besides if you want someone you can w***e around with, you can look for other guys. Am not stopping you. But you see Dean, don't even go there because his a no go area.” I warned her.

She dropped her spoon on her plate which made a loud noise. She slowly raised her head and looked at me. She was not only looking right into my eyes but also glaring at me.

“I am warning you, mind the words you say to me. I won't tolerate it if you call me names.” she said without any atom of fear.

“I won't mind my words you human. Can you imagine, am talking to you and you have the guts to look at me right into my eyes and talk back at me. I think you have lost it somewhere.” I said to her.

“Listen if you don't have anything good to say then leave because you met Dean and I having our moments before you came. So leave already you are becoming a nuisance.” she said rolling her eyes.

This human is making me lose my mind right now. How dare she talk to me in that manner?

“Look you human, I am warning you to stop talking to me like am your f*****g equal. I can easily end you right now so better be careful how you talk to me.” I warned her again hoping she takes my warning serious.

“Like am scared of your empty threats, I have told you that I'm not scared of you. Look the moment Dean returns with your food, take it with you and leave.”

“Who are you to f*****g give me orders?” I asked her.

“I am Arianna. Your f*****g ex mate. So you better listen to me.” she spat.

“I will crus.........” I was interrupted when Dean returned with my food.

“I see you two are getting on well. That's wonderful. Like I have always imagined the three of us as best of friends.” he said smiling as he sat down next to that rude human.

“Sorry to disappoint you Dean but never will I ever be friends with someone like him. Never.” She said eyeing me.

“You just spoke my line right now. I also don't want to be friends or close to a w***e and I will advice you to also stay away from her Dean because she's of no good.” I said looking right into her eyes.

She stood up and before I knew what was happening, I was wet from her hair down to my face and clothes.

She f*****g poured juice on me.
