I tried to spend as many nights at home each week as I did at Davis's house to effectively divide my time between my best friend and my boyfriend. Neither seemed to mind, but I wondered if that would change when the baby arrived.
Hayden and I hadn't talked about the living situation post-baby. Davis insisted she would need my room for the baby, and I reminded him she also needed my rent. Part of me wondered if he planned to ask me to move in with him after the baby came. It would make the transition easier for everyone but would leave Hayden completely alone. He hadn't broached the subject, but that was meaningless with Davis. When he wanted something, he simply told me, and I conceded. I did anything to make him happy without thought or question.
