Liam had left this morning. I was proud of myself. I hadn't cried until after he was well inside the airport and couldn't see me. I didn't know how he'd wormed his way into my heart and life in three measly days, but he was now an integral part-another part that was missing. "How does this not bother you?" I couldn't figure out why Hayden wasn't as disturbed by Liam's departure as I was. "I talk to him every day, Callie. He's my boss. I don't care if he's here or there. Nothing changed for me. Although I am curious about what changed for you?" Her look asked exactly what her question had suggested. If I had to deal with this every time Liam's name came up, I might have to shoot her.
