Shelby’s POV
I will make Nico so sorry he ever tried to get away from me. I looked for him all last night and could not find him. He wouldn’t answer his phone, and the Gamma, James Herrington, had no idea where he was, just that he said he had something important come up and would be gone for a few days. I already knew what had come up, his little mate. I had already spoken to the ladies here at Golden Summit specifically about the mate bond this time, and they filled me in on what all had happened to Sabrina since Nico, found his mate.
I was not aware that his little mate had been thrown into having her heat since she met him because he didn’t reject her. That was on me, and I am kicking myself for not insisting that he accept her rejection, instead of wanting her to be hurt
