Joan opened the portal for us and I watched as my warriors stepped through first. The rogues we were taking back with us went next, followed by Orson then me and Joan at the end. The portal closed as Joan stepped through and I stopped to look back at her.
“Thank you for your assistance,” I told Joan.
“You’re welcome,” she said with a bow of her head.
She opened another portal and stepped through before it disappeared again. I turned to look at everyone and found Stella rushing up to me.
