Tolanda’s group reached another door which was on the ceiling of the tunnel and up a ladder. Dalyor knocked upon loudly. The door opened to a large man with a round tummy and he offered his arms out to receive small children first and then he helped the women. Tolanda took the ladder and he helped her the rest of the way and she realised they were in a cellar of some type, soon recognising the large barrels it was likely a tavern or an inn and there was a bed in it which looked as though this man had been sleeping in. “Was it them?” the round man asked. “Yes,” Dalyor said with a serious expression. “Did you lose many?” he asked and Ellania began to cry and her in her husband’s arms again. “A child did not make it into the escape tunnels,” Liv said, and the round man looked saddened.
