Saving Rose

Melania's POV

When Kyle and I reached his pack, I could see lots of wolves in wolf form and human form training outside. They all stopped and stared at us as we passed by. He took me to the big house in the middle of the old town, and as we walk up to the house, an older woman comes running out. "Kyle, you are okay!" she grabs him around his neck and hugs him while her eyes turn curiously to me. “I am fine, Adriana, meet our Queen Melania Collins, your Highness. This is my wife and the Luna of our pack Adriana." Adriana fell on her knees and said with tears in her eye. "Your highness, I never fought. I will see the day our Queen will arrive" I pulled her up from her knees and said, "Please call me Melania. I am not your Queen, yet the King may reject me." But like her husband, she refused. She took me inside and showed me my room, I took a long hot shower, and she gave me some clothes I could wear, she said with tears in her eyes that they belong to her daughter, but before I could ask where her daughter as she had turned around and left.

I stayed with them for a few days and trained with the pack a bit as well. Sapphire was restless and wanted to train. We were strong, and even their best warrior could not beat us in a skirmish. We trained, rested, and I loved being around the pack and pack members. Sapphire start showing me some of our powers and how I could use them for good. She could not show me all the powers we had, but she showed me how to heal and cover our scent. "There is so much more we can do, but we need some of the elders to train us so we can control our powers, little one," she said. "You need to learn to control your emotions first, or else you will become very dangerous and can even blackout a not know what you did," She told me one day while we were training. " Well, that should not be a problem as I had to control my emotions around my father, half-brother, and my old pack a lot. I learned not to let words and getting hurt emotionally as well as physically affect my emotions. When I was younger, I would get furious and sad at my father and my pack members to mistreat me, but it just got me hurt more, so I stopped feeling and stopped showing emotions, almost like a zombie.

As I walk into the house after training on my way to the kitchen, I heard Adriana talk to Kyle, "Maybe we can ask her to help us get back Rose, she is stronger than any of us, and the rogues do not stand a chance" "Do you want to get us killed Adriana, you know the King will kill us if anything happened to his mate, we can not put her in harm’s way" Kyle's worried voice replied. "Who is Rose?" I ask as I walk in. They both turned around in shock as they see me standing there. "Our daughter, she was taken by a Rogue who wants to trade her for our land and our pack. He wants to be our Alpha, but he is a very ruthless man and will most probably kill most of our pack", Adriana explained. "Where is this rogue?" I ask, “We do not know your highness," Kyle replied. “We need to help them",, I heard Sapphire. “I will help you find him and get Rose back",, I replied.

 "I know where the rogues are hiding," Sapphire told me. I could feel her excitement as she wanted to test our strength in a real fight. "They are in a cave on top of the mountain just behind the town. There is a witch with them that is using magic to cover their scent, but her magic does not affect us," Sapphire explained to me the situation." There are about 10 rogues, and they are watching the pack 24/7, so we can not let the pack know where they are because the pack makes a move they will kill Rose in revenge, we will have to do it ourselves, little one" Sapphire says to me. So I did not tell the pack about the rogues as they all will want to go and save Rose putting her life in danger. "But can we take on 10 rogues on our own, Sapphire?" I ask, a little frightened. "We are stronger than 10 rogues, my dear much, much stronger. You need to believe in yourself and our powers." Sapphire reply. "So what is the plan?" I ask Sapphire. "We will go early in the morning before everyone wakes up. Only you and me. But maybe we need to occupy the pack's warriors and guards as well so they do not see us sneak off and follow us," Sapphire said. "But what will we tell the pack? We need them to think they will help." I was still a bit scared to go on my own. "Tell them to start looking for the rogues. It will keep them and the rogues busy while we go safe, Rose," Sapphire said, and I could feel her smirk.

I did not sleep well that night, and when Sapphire woke me up, I was not too happy. The pack members were busy looking for the rogues, and Sapphire told me the rogue was watching the pack to see what they were up to. So I took a quick shower and went to the big window in my room, and shifted. Sapphire was ready, and I felt the adrenaline rushing through my wolf. She was excited. We started running through the wood on our way to the mountain. All kinds of things went through my mind. What if they spot us? What if we are not strong enough and they kill us? "STOP!!!"  Sapphire demanded me. "Stop any emotions and concentrate on our task ahead. I need you to control your emotions, little one. I know you can!" So I cleared my mind and started to concentrate on the task ahead. I blank out my mind like I did when I was being tortured by my father and half-brother or belittled by my old pack.

We reached the cave in no time and started sneaking up on the cave. I watched them move around the cave, watching the pack. I saw one standing a bit away from the rest of them and sneak upon him. I jump on him, taking him by surprise, and before he could yell out, I grab him by the neck and feel his neck snap. I threw his lifeless body to the ground and started sneaking nearer to the cave—one down nine to go. The two guards at the entrance were. Next, I jumped both of them and made them stumble into the cave, falling on their backs, and I killed the first one before he could shift. The other one shifted, but he was scared; I could smell his fear. He jumped at me, but I avoid him, and as he passes over my head, I ripped his stomach open. He yelped and fell to the ground; life draining out of his eyes. His guts and blood all over us. I felt disgusted.

The next moment I was surrounded by the other seven wolves. I wished they would freeze so I could only take out the Alpha. They will surrender without him, I thought.  The rogues Alpha was a big brown wolf, an ugly wolf with patches of hair missing from his fur, one of his ears was torn off, and his teeth were yellow, and he reeked, it made my stomach turn a bit, but I had to concentrate. "Who are you, to intervene in my business" the alpha growled at me. "I will tell you who I am just before you die, rogue", I replied. I could see him hesitate and look at me, and his eyes go classy as if he was trying to mind link someone. I did not want him calling for help. Hence, at that moment, I moved, breaking his mind link, I jumped at him, but he had more experience than his other rogue pack members. I missed him landing behind him with my back turned to him. I feel him jump on me, and I feel his fangs biting into my side. I gasp. I collected myself fast and jumped around fast. I feel him lose his grip on me. I watched the other wolves, but not one of them moved. I wondered why it was like they all have frozen. "Don't just stand there kill her!" I heard their leader yell. . His pack members panicked. "We can not move!" One of them screamed back. "What kind of magic is this" another one screamed in panic. They looked at me in disbelieve, and I knew they knew who I was, but before any of them repeated anything, I thought about them not being able to talk as well. "I can not break the spell" I saw an old lady walking in, and I thought it must be the witch. "Well, look at the big bad wolf afraid to fight a little she-wolf by himself. Are you afraid of a mere she-wolf" I taunt him? He growled at me, "You will regret intervening". I saw his mates trying to warn him, but they could not talk or mind the link. Sapphire hid our identity from him, and he had no idea who I was. I had no time to think much as the alpha jumped at me again. I was ready. This time I jumped at the same time, sending him to the ground. I stood over him, pinning him down to the ground. "I am your Queen rogue," I said as I bit into his neck and killed him. I looked surprised at the wolves still standing like statues, but I feel my power draining, and I knew it was our magic that made them froze. "Let them go, little one. We are losing too much strength," Sapphire told me.  "I did it?" I asked her. "Yes, you made them froze by just thinking about it. You need to let them go, or it will drain all our power" "Go tell your leader, whoever he is, to be careful who he messed with in the future," I told them. "Yes, your Highness, they said," as they got their voices back. I think of them moving, running away in panic. At that moment, the remaining rogues turned and ran out of the cave. I hear a woman cry and walk slowly towards the noise. I saw the same old lady that was standing there trying to break my power over the rogues holding her and whispering to the young girl, " It is okay dear your Queen came and saved us" ... "Rose", I said softly she looks up at me in my wolf form and whisper "Thank you your highness" I growl at the witch. Still, Rose stop me and says, "Please, your highness, she helped me and protected me with her magic, so the rogues will not harm me" I relaxed. Rose is saved! Rose was a beautiful little blond girl about my age. I hope they did not rape her or scarred her for life. "Are you sure you are okay?" I asked her. "Yes, your Highness. I am fine. They never touched or harmed me" I feel relief wash over me as I look at her little petite form. Normally rogues did not care and would have their way with any she-wolf whether she was mated or not. Rose was lucky to have the witch protecting her.

'We did it, Sapphire. We saved her all by ourselves," Sapphire just said, "I told you we could do it, little one."
