“I Alpha Drake Kingston sentence Rulle Harvey to death for trying to harm my mate, Olivia.” The ground shook underneath me as I felt thunderstruck, my world collapsed and my blood ran cold as I stared at the two people right in front of me. I kneeled on the ground right in front of them surrounded by the pack members who were mocking me and laughing at me. “Good for her.” “Exactly, like it’s funny that she thought that the pack will accept a runt like her as the Luna.” “She may be the alpha’s wife but that was only in name.” “Right, the alpha never really loved her she was there as the substitute only.” People laughed at me before two guards game and I was forcefully dragged to the dungeon I didn’t even protest as I was taken to my cell. I was harshly thrown on the ground, “just look at this pathetic runt.” One of the guards said before he harshly kicked me in the abdomen. The other laughed and soon joined in, the two enjoyed kicking and punching me before one of the guards said, “Well if we look at her face, she does not look that bad you know.” “Well, she was once alpha’s woman… I’d like a taste of her too.” My blood ran cold and I started shivering as I listened to those words, I got up and crawled back as I joined my hands and begged for mercy. “No…no..no please…” “Just look at her begging mercy.” “Haha, I am already turned on.” “Can’t believe that this woman was once our Luna.” “I’ll go first let me have the taste of our previous luna!” “No…no…no!!!” I screamed as I begged for mercy but those two guards didn’t spare me. ~~ “It was fun!” “Indeed, she is good no wonder the alpha kept her!” The two laughed before they walked away leaving me on the ground wounded and hurt. My entire body was in pain, my soul was shattered and my heart was crushed. I couldn’t even move an inch as I felt the pain in between my legs and the bruises on my body. I suddenly burst into tears, but then I suddenly heard the sound of footsteps. I became alert and my heart started to beat faster, I couldn’t go through that again. Not again. “Oh, my poor little Ruelle.” I turned my head towards the voice and there I saw her, Olivia. My step-sister! Olivia looked at me up and down before she laughed, “Looks like you had fun.” I cried as I wrapped my hands around me, “Why didn’t you tell the alpha that I was not the one who hurt you!” “Well, what can I say? It was fun to see you so miserable.” “Why is my misery fun to you!” I spoke, but soon after I spoke, I spit blood. “Because how dare you marry my Drake!” Olivia yelled as she barged into the cell and grabbed my hair. I screamed in pain “Ah… I didn’t… I was forced because you ran away from the wedding!” “SO WHAT! HOW DARE A RUNT LIKE YOU MARRIED HIM!” “It wasn’t my choice!” “Well, it’s none of my business! Now you will pay for trying to take my place!” Olivia said as she kicked and punched me before she left, while I lay there in my pool of blood. Olivia was alpha Drake’s mate and she was set to marry but just before the wedding she and Drake had an argument and she left the pack. Drake then came to me and offered me to marry him, I had a crush on Drake so I agreed to me, he had promised me that he would stay loyal to me. I did everything I could to be a good wife and a good Luna, but his family and his pack members never accepted me. I was never invited to pack’s major events and ceremonies, his family never invited me to any functions and dinners and they always mocked me whenever they met me. The pack members mocked me and made fun of me. But I put up with it because I thought one day everything would change and I would be accepted and loved. My own family, which consisted of my father and stepmother berated me and hated me, they accused me of taking my sister Olivia’s happiness and her place. I had no one in this pack. Drake never once supported me or took my side; he mocked me too and if I ever made a mistake in front of him, he would lock me up in the basement sometimes for days without any food and water. But it became worse once Olivia returned, Drake, his family and the pack members everyone was all over her. And soon my title of Luna was taken and I was wrongly accused of a crime I didn’t do and was demoted to be a slave. I became the punching bag of the pack. Being beaten became a daily occurrence. Olivia made my life a living hell she would often accuse me of things I didn’t do and the punishments would be brutal. And finally, Olivia accused me of trying to kill her, and Drake and everyone else believed her without even investigating and sentenced me to death. If I get another chance then I will never marry Drake. ~~ The morning came soon and Drake showed up in the dungeon along with some guards, his parents, my father, and Olivia. Drake stared at me and for a split second, I thought that I saw care in his eyes, but I dismissed that funny thought. “Ruelle…. you know what’s going to happen now, right?” I sat up straight with difficulty I stared into Drake’s eyes and laughed, the sound of my laugh echoed in the cell as I looked him straight in the eye and said, “Go ahead with it.” “You are not even going to ask for forgiveness?” Drake said, “I could have considered forgiving you!” Olivia’s eyes widened as she looked at Drake and said, “What are you saying, Drake? She tried to kill me! Would you really forgive her?” “I would lessen her sentence; we could punish her in some other ways.” “I don’t want your forgiveness!” I said as I slowly got up, “I refuse to ask for forgiveness, f**k you all. I don’t want to live anymore, it’s a curse, go ahead and kill me!” Drake shook with rage and as he took out his gun and pointed at me, I saw the hesitation in his eyes, which was funny. He didn’t think twice before making me a slave, before sentencing me to death, before punishing me, then why was he thinking now? Olivia spoke, “What are you waiting for Drake shoot her.” “Yes, Drake shoot me,” I spoke. Drake looked at me before he said, “You never called me by my name before.” “Son, shoot her.” Drake’s father. Drake shifted his finger on the trigger, but he was taking his time and finally, when Olivia couldn’t take it anymore, she stepped forward and pulled the trigger for him. The bullet pierced my skull and everything went dark after that.
