Chapter Seven ‘You again.’ Meeks stared furiously at him. ‘What do you want this time?’ ‘Good day Mr Meeks. Nice to see you, too.’ ‘What do you want?’ ‘I was going to suggest renewing our acquaintance, Mr Meeks, seeing as we hit it off so well last time. But as that won’t wash, I’d like to come in and question Messrs Regis, Sentinel and Robert Scott here.’ ‘Come in? You’ve got to be joking.’ ‘Alternatively, they can all come down the station. Whichever suits. I’m easy.’ Harry Meeks seemed prepared to argue about it, but Robert Scott, whose home this apparently was, seemed to think that gave him special decision-making privileges, and thrust the door wide.
