Chapter Five Rafferty began the next day in earnest. He could kill two birds with one stone. He needed to speak to Professor Curtis to find out if he backed up what Babbington claimed about his bottles of booze. But at the same time, he could ask around, and see if he got any pointers to the knife attacker. There was sure to be a few edgy types at the university. He’d received confirmation of what Mr Earnshaw said from the third victim, Arthur Humphreys, and he and Llewellyn presented themselves at the university bright and early, only to find that the staff had a much more leisurely way with time-keeping.
