Chapter 4 The next morning, Megan woke to the sound of male voices and barking dogs. When she opened her eyes, she saw a cat on either side of her, waiting for her to wake up and feed them. As she raised her arm to reach for the alarm clock to check the time, she couldn’t help the groan that escaped her in protest of the movement. “Great, sore muscles and sunburn. Not how I want to start my week,” she complained to the cats. But they weren’t listening. At her first movement, they had both jumped off the bed to stand by the door and wait. Not one to feel sorry for herself, or laze the morning away in bed, Megan eased her way out of bed.
