It was almost nightfall when we heard it. The sound of voices, chanting. Neither of us was making noises, but we dropped down to the ground nonetheless. We were already exhausted, having stopped to battle with two rock giants earlier. I was starting to think the rock giants came out during the day, while that strange monster that nearly killed me came out at night time. It made me wonder about what other creatures could be out here, but so far, those two were the only strange ones we’ve seen. Otherwise, it was the normal deers and rabbits, and birds that flew overhead. I was shaking in anticipation and dread, licking my dry lips as we started to silently army crawl through the forest.
