I groaned softly under my breath, lowering myself into the water. I had waited until Rhys was asleep, mostly because I was afraid he’d offer to help me. I kept replaying his words over and over again, how he told me he wasn’t going to kiss me again unless I asked, and I couldn’t figure out why they were bothering me. Maybe it was because there was a strange warm feeling whenever he touched me, or maybe it was because I could still hear his song playing over and over again in my mind.
