Mirabelle shuddered as fingers traced her ribs under the cool water. She quickly turned around and swatted Theodore’s hand away. “I said no touching,” she reminded him with a stern look. Unfortunately, it fell on deaf ears. Theodore only chuckled, pulled away from her, then ducked under the water and re-emerged on her other side to restart his touches. Huffing, Mirabelle pushed away from the edge of the pool and began a lazy stroke across the water to the other side. Behind her, she heard Theodore chuckle, and then the sound of more powerful strokes, and knew he was coming after her.
