CHAPTER 16 “What do you want me to do?” Russel asks. “We’re about to take off.” “I’m sorry about your parents,” I say. “But I can’t do this. I need to get off.” Russel looks at me as if I’ve started speaking gibberish. I want to make him understand, but how can I? He doesn’t know who I am. He doesn’t know what I’ve done.
