Within the hour, they were on the boat and ready to depart. The Queen had forced Roxanne to dress in a proper gown, but she put her foot down when Berty came to her with a corset. After some bickering back and forth, mostly about how her husband had turned her into a heathen, the Queen finally gave up and allowed Roxanne to wear a loose-fitting gown that did not require a corset. “You should really try it yourself someday, Mother. It really is very freeing” Roxanne said, smiling from her triumph. “Don’t push your luck.” Replied the Queen. Roxanne laughed, always enjoying her Step Mother’s humor that only her family got to see. She really hoped her parents would be safe, especially with the Queen still expecting, and was glad that they had Blood Moon Soldiers here to watch over them.
