Morning came too quickly and they were both woken up by a bang on the door. Nikolai sat up and looked towards Roxanne who was looking anxiously around. He grabbed the top quilt and wrapped it around his waist, Roxanne using the sheet below to cover herself. He headed towards the door and was surprised to find it was no longer locked, but open. Gertrude stood on the other side holding a stack of folded clothes in her hands.
“The Elders arrived early this morning and are waiting in the Gathering House. I brought some clothes for you and the Luna.” She said, handing Nikolai the clothes.
Roxanne came up beside him and looked from the clothes to Gertrude, thanking her before taking them from Nikolai and going to the bed. She separated her clothes from his and then went behind the curtain to
