Chapter 2

* Teagan and I went to lunch after putting our books in our locker. We always sat alone at the other end of a long table. "Are we doing karaoke this Wednesday?" she asks. "I don't know, what do you think,?'' "Well we don't have anything else to do, and you have to please your fans," "We, both have fans," "I guess, but we, have to do a duet," "What are we talking about girls,?" asks 'Big Ben' as he leans over the table. "Just making plans my bestfriend," I say. And guess what... yep, Teagan starts laughing and even snorts. Her laughter must be contagious, because, Ben starts laughing too. "Are you laughing, because, she's laughing or at the way she's laughing?" I ask squinting my eyes at him. Which only makes him laugh harder. I shake my head when I realize I'm smiling too. As their laughter calms Reagan walks over and sits with us. I look around. These guys are throwing off the balance. They are the cool kids, the future leaders of the pack and they are sitting with us the giggly, cute, bubbly red head and the sarcastic tomboy. I think to myself. It's also weird, because, apparently everything I say is funny to them. "What's going on?" I ask as I look from Reagan to Ben. "What do you mean,?" asks Raegen. "Well you left Alpha Jr., to sit with us," (He wasn't the Alpha yet, so, I gave him a nickname) Mostly out of frustration. I can't talk to my bestfriend in peace. Ben's roaring laughter echoes through the cafeteria. "I never knew you were so funny!" he laughs. "Alpha Jr.," he says repeating me. "He'll be, fine," adds Reagan. "We can leave, if we're disturbing you," I look at Teagan and she smiles. "You're fine," I say trying not to sound too annoyed, even though, I was. "Good!" says Big Ben. "We like you guys," "Lucky us," I say sarcastically, earning another chuckle from Teagan and the guys. We change for gym and wait to hear what coach Crank wants us to do. "Five laps running, jogging, walking, or, crawling!" "It doesn't matter just get around there!" "Then pair up and do the exercises in the pictures on the wall!" I do my five laps, then, I walk around with Teagan for her last three. "Come on, partner," I say as we finish her last lap. "Hey, do you want to change partners,?" asks Ben as he motions from Reagan to Teagan. "Nope, we're fine," "Besides, you'll squash her," Teagan giggles and Big Ben's face turns red with embarrassment. A face I never thought I'd see on him. I think even Reagan is surprised, because, he's laughing too. Out of nowhere, I hear another laugh and I feel a hand on my shoulder. Zair is leaning on me, so that, he doesn't fall from laughing so hard. (Maybe I should quit karaoke and do comedy) I think to myself. "I was coming to confront you for stealing my friends" says Zair as he catches his breath. "I guess you're funnier than me," "I don't find myself, funny," "Teagan is the only person, that has, ever found me funny and now your friends," He smiles and it's one of the biggest smiles that I've ever seen on his face and I'd be lying if I say that it didn't make me blush. (I don't like him). "So, Big Ben," I say. "How about you take her out on a date, instead of, being her gym partner?" I say trying to get rid of them. "Yeah sure, when, where, what are we going to do,?" "I don't know that's up to you, but, keep it PG," I say as I point at him with squinted eyes causing Zair to chuckle. (I don't like him even more now) "Zair baby, be my partner!" says Tammy, running over to grab his arm. "Why are you guys talking to these lesbians,?" asks one of her friends as she strolls over next to her. "What!" I say surprised. "So no one should talk to lesbians,?" "What did they ever do to you!?" I ask getting angry. I already dislike her, she is always talking down to people and making fun of those that are different. She says nothing and only smiles and plays with her blonde hair as she rolls her blue eyes. "For your information, we are not lesbians, but if, we were, we'd be a cute couple and it would be none of your business!" "So stop, trying to spread stupidity," I glare at her after my rant as she rolls her eyes. "That's not even a real word" she says before walking off. These guys are causing more trouble than they're worth. "Sorry, Jessica can be a handful sometimes," "She doesn't bother me, I'm still going to dress, how I want and hang out with my bestie," "Anyways, me and you always get along with no problems,'' ''So, just because your friend thinks that I'm a lesbian, and, she's a b***h, that, doesn't change anything and you don't have to apologize for something that she did," She nods and smiles. "You know what,?" "We should all go out, the six of us," she says trying to break the tension. My eyes go wide. (I don't want to have to see these people outside of school) As I'm about to come up with an excuse. "W-" "Yes, that would be awesome!" says Teagan. "f**k," I say softly, causing the guys to laugh. (Where the heck is coach Crank?!) (He should be here to punish us for talking!) I think to myself as I still try to think of a way out of this. "Give him your number, Teags," I say as I look at Ben. "Text us the information, time and place" I say to him. "Where the heck is the coach,?" I ask as we walk away from Tammy and the guys. I steal one last look at Zair and there's an amused smile plastered on his face. (He's not cute at all,) "Keep telling yourself that," says my wolf Asha. "Asha, you can't come out at school, unless it's an emergency!" "I know, I've just been feeling lonely, lately, you haven't let me out in a while," "I promise to let you out tonight and at least four times a week'' "It's just that soccer season just ended and karaoke bar and then school," "I'm, sorry," "Okay, I'll remind you, if you forget," "Deal," After I got back home, I kept my promise to Asha and I let her out. She ran all the way to the lake none stop and then around the territory. When I got back home, I exercised a little bit and went to sleep without taking a shower. (Why am I so tired?)
