Shawn had been gone for about thirty minutes when Jenni heard a knock on the door. She steeled herself to have a tough conversation with Grace, but she knew it had to be done. She opened the door and Grace barged in like a bat out of hell while also carrying two cups of coffee in a tray and a little box of pastries. Jenni smiled despite the situation. Grace was nothing if not a classy woman. She assumed that since she had said she was coming over for coffee she must have known Shawn didn't have a coffee pot so she brought it with her. Grace headed to the kitchen and Jenni followed her in. After a pointed look from Grace Jenni took the coffee and sat down.
