The average, everyday Aura. Nothing exciting ever happens to her, and certainly nothing dramatic ever appears in her day to day life. Today was going to be an exceptionally ordinary day, even she could tell that when she woke up this morning. Aura slammed her fist on the alarm clock, making it shut off instantly. The white and purpled haired teenager slowly crawled out of bed. Majorly exhausted from work last night, and barley being able to function right now, she forced herself to sit upright on the bed's edge. Rubbing her eyes with her wrists, Aura lifted her head up to see what time it was. Her alarm clock read '6:34'. Since today was Saturday, she didn't have to worry about making it in to work. Today is all about her, she's going to finally set herself on a course that would help her live a better life.
Yet when Aura stood up, she didn't expect her knees to give out beneath her, and fell forward. She was able to catch herself on her nightstand before she fell and hit her head on it. Using her other hand, she rubbed the top of her head in confusion. Slowly, Aura stood up mostly straight.
"What the..?" Confused and dazed, Aura used the wall to make it from her bed to the private bathroom her bedroom had. She faltered as she entered the doorway, almost falling backwards this time. However, she caught herself by holding the door frame. What has made her so nauseous that she can't walk properly? And why so suddenly? She was in perfectly good health yesterday, nor had shown any signs of any illness.
Aura made her way to the sink, and when she looked into the mirror she could see bags under her eyes. Dark lines outlined the edges of her eyes and really brought out the purple color of her irises, but not in a beautiful way. She looked hideous. Maybe some water would help. While holding onto the sink with her left hand, she used her right to turn the sink on. Before she splashed her face in the water, she had waited for it to warm up a bit, as cold water would be unpleasant to her.
A sinking feeling rose in her stomach area, and Aura wiped her face off before holding her mouth with her left hand. She leaned against the wall while trying to piece together what was happening to her. Her body ached, and she felt sick to the bone. When the feeling from her stomach arose again, she instantly ducked and kneeled on the floor, throwing up in the toilet. Aura sat there for a few minutes before grumbling to herself about, "how today was going to be a total disaster," and, "how she hated herself big time." Saturdays are supposed to be fun, but this is no fun what so ever. After puking her guts out, not literally, Aura pushed herself away from the toilet. Sliding on the bathroom floor over to a wall, she lifted her knees to her chest and took in a deep breath. Her skin was cold, and she was starting to look a bit pale. Her body shook with every breath she took, and even more so when she exhaled. It felt like her body was breaking itself down, and she couldn't do a damn thing about it.
Alas, Aura lifted her hands up and gripped the wall, dragging herself up so she could stand. Her legs shook violently, and she hasn't even taken a single step. Course she nearly had a heart attack when the door to her room opened, and her mother shouted for her to wake up already.
"In here- m-mother!" Aura shouted back, but decided it wasn't a good idea to do it again, as she coughed right after finishing her shout. Her mother peeked into the bathroom and nearly threw up herself. She shook her head as she put a hand over her nose and mouth.
"What's up with you, Aura?" Aura's mother asked, but even if Aura did know, she wouldn't be able to explain it very well, or at all. When she shrugged, her mother seemed to get the idea.
"Well, I'll get some Ibuprofen, but don't throw up on the carpets." Her mother pointed her finger at Aura sternly before she turned and hastily made her way out of the bathroom. She left just as quick as she showed up.
Aura sighed and crawled like a snail to her bedroom. She didn't want to stress her body out more than it already had for itself. Her clock said '7:21'. Groaning to herself, she managed to walk all the way to the large window in her room. It was a super tall, three panel window with a small sitting area right underneath it. The sun was still rising, but even in the early morning state it was brighter than ever. At least you can't ruin the morning sky. Aura slowly sat herself down on the comfy, pink cushions of the bench beneath the window. Leaning back into the large, white and fluffy pillow behind her, she watched as the birds flew by. While waiting, her mother came back into the room with a glass of water and four pain killers. They had a small discussion about plans today before her mother left and Aura took the pills. Now she's got to wait 10 minutes before they kick in fully. Hopefully it passes sooner, because she's itching to go out today.
Yawning loudly, Aura sat up and stretched. She hadn't fallen asleep, she just got really comfortable. Swinging her legs over the edge of the bench again, she stood up with little to no problems. In fact, she felt amazing. It made her wonder where all the pain and uncomfortable feelings she had not even 20 minutes ago went. Of course, she wasn't wondering because she missed it. It just felt odd how quickly it all vanished. Oh well, it just meant she could have fun out in town instead of being curled up in a ball and swearing to herself. Aura slid over to the doors of her large walk in closet and threw them open. A big smile on her face as she skimmed through all her clothe options. Ultimately, she chose a pale pink and pale purple casual dress. The dress was medium in length, and very smooth. It felt super soft, and was possibly her favorite feeling dress of all of her dresses. Her pair of silver 2 inch heels go well with it. Aura also chose a nice flower crown to top it off, along with some pastel bracelets and earnings. Of course, she couldn't forget the most important thing that she wore everywhere with her. Her mother's necklace, that she gave Aura when she turned 17. It's long, and full of white and black diamonds. There was a pendant of the moon in the middle of it, the shape of it was of a waning crescent. The black diamonds made up the dark area, while white diamonds made up the crescent on it. It was beautiful, and it meant everything to Aura.
Now happy with how she looked, Aura turned and skipped out of her room and down the hall. While in her happy place, she ended up passing her brother, Anthony, who gave her a weird look as she skipped by him. She skipped all the way to the stairs, where she slid down the railing from there. Jumping off at the end and landing on both her heels. The clicking of her shoes was more apparent, now that she was walking on tiled floor. She walked right up to the oversized front doors, placing her hand on the handle as she glanced back up to the roof of the lobby room. The chandelier hanging from the center of the ceiling sparkled brightly, giving her confidence that today could still be a good day. Then with a flick of her long and slightly curly hair, Aura pushed the door open and waltzed out of the mansion. Never once listening to her gut feeling of uncertainty. Only her heart's feeling of love for today's plans.
