Gloria looks out the window at Caroline and Tyka talking to Milton. “they seem to be serious whatever they’re talking about.” She walks to the next window watching them. She was so deep in thought she didn’t hear Pearl enter the room until she felt someone patting her arm. Gloria jumps holding her chest.
Pearl jumps, "Why are you so rattled?” She glances out the window at Milton, Caroline, and Tyka. “Oh, anyway I was letting you know I brought some canned peaches over. I left them in the kitchen.”
“Thank you,” Gloria mumbles and wishes the woman would leave her alone. When Pearl leaves she turns back to look out the window for Milton but doesn’t see him “Where did he go?” She’s still looking out the window when a hand goes around her neck. Gloria screams
