“Calm down, wait just...”
“Let me go, f*****g let me go,” I screamed, twisting and struggling against the strong hands holding me back from racing into the woods in search of my son.
“You need to…” I couldn’t even hear him over the sound of my voice as I thrashed to break free from his hold.
I needed to get out of here and back into that forest to look for my son. The rogues couldn’t have gotten to him, I knew I succeeded in leading them away, and I was sure they wouldn’t travel back that path. That was unlike them.
Noises rang in my head as different scenarios of what could’ve happened to my pup while I was unconscious flashed before my eyes and my agitation grew.
