"Maxi?" I hear Veronica behind the door.
"Tell me again," Stark said. "Why is she still here?"
“Because of Sam. She is his little sister, and I don't want to upset him. " I tell him even though I'm kind of convinced that Sam would understand if I fired her after everything that happened.
"It doesn't smell good to me, Max. She hates our mate, do you know what would happen if she knew the whole story and found out about the bond between us? She will try something against Meredith. ”
"She won't." I tell Stark and I'm very convinced of what I'm saying. "She will never raise her hand against what is mine."
She may be a beta female by birth but her attitude and her physical and mental strength is far from that. It’s just status for her.
"Maxi??" she asks again.
