In Max's office, he watches Meredith analyzing her injured hand and immediately Luke returns with the disinfectant and the bandages, he goes to her and says in a rather commanding tone.
"Give me your hand!"
Meredith is lost in her own thoughts, thinking about everything that happened. She is human and he is an alpha, if she really is her mate, and Max is not wrong about that, what will he do?
At the moment she is safe, Max doesn't seem to want her but he's just driven by his wolf, but what if things escalate? What if he will imprint himself on her? She will have no chance, and even if she fights in the end, she will end up in his arms.
