Author’s POV
Meredith looked at Grandpa Cruz and said nothing. She just has tears in her eyes. She looked at her parents, at Max’s parents and she was not able to ask the question.
"We didn't know it!" Landon and Carter said at the same time.
“I made the plan with the scholarship to force you to come and work with him, but that’s all. I didn't know that the old man stole the divorce documents and kept them until now. ” Carter continues,
"Give me the documents," Meredith said. "I will send them by myself to the City Hall!"
But right then Max partially transforms into his wolf and shocks her. Before Meredith can take the documents, Stark catches the documents and tears them to pieces in front of everyone.
