Hunter's Point of View (Morgan's Mate.)
I have been so busy trying to establish the pack that I have had very little time for Morgan and I felt guilty. After I finished dealing with the last bit of things that was on my plate I decided I needed a shower and some food. As I walked up to my room I mind-linked Morgan. 'Movie night.' But she did not respond right away like normal.
As I waited for her to respond I got into the shower. Once I was done and still hadn't heard from Morgan I decided to look for her. I started in the library and she was not there. I then began to look room for the room but after an hour of searching and waking Dylan up, no one could find her. I tried several times with the mind link but it remained silent.
Were, is she? I could not even pick up her scent.
"Find anything?" I asked my brother, his mate, and everyone else close to us.
'No, but I can perform a spell." Airalynn said.
"What do you need?" I asked.
"Hair from her brush would work." She said. I ran up to our room and grabbed her brush and quickly ran downstairs and handed the brush to Airalynn.
"Thank you." She said.
Airalynn waved her hand over a table and chanted several words and a bunch of objects appeared. She began to mix things and then as smoke came from the bowl she placed Morgan's hair in it. She then placed the liquid from her bowl into a pendant and waved her hand and had a map appeared and she waved the pendant above the map but it never moved.
"This is her hair?" She asked.
"Yes."
"She is not on earth. The pendant would move to her location." Airalynn said.
"Then where is she," I asked. I felt the worry and stress in me begin to boil.
"I am unsure."
I ran outside and shifted into my white wolf and howled in pain. Morgan where are you? Just then a portal opened a Chelsea and Caleb appeared with a white-haired man. I stared at them and they just looked at me. We stood there looking at each other for several seconds.
"Who are you and how did you get past the border?" Dylan said as he approached behind me. I could hear several more people behind him and based on the scents I knew Airalynn, Zeon, and Ryan were getting close to my position.
"Merlin?" Airalynn said as she stopped walking and stood next to Dylan.
"Airalynn it has been a long time my old friend." He said as he walked up to her and hugged her. Dylan growled and she gave him the death glare.
"It has been so long. I thought you were dead." She said.
"I had to pretend to be dead but I had a vision and I fear we are too late."
"Come inside we will talk," Airalynn said and grabbed his arm.
"Young wolf you will want to hear this. It's about your mate." He said while looking at me and then began walking towards the house.
I darted towards the house and quickly got dressed behind a tree. Once everyone made it inside we all went to the conference room and as everyone began to sit down I said "Where is my mate?"
"Hunter calms down," Ryan said.
"I will not calm down my mate is gone and I have no clue where she is," I said and allowed my anger to come. I slammed my fist down on the table.
"Young man enough I know where she is," Merlin said.
"Where?" I said.
"Sit down Hunter," Dylan said and I growled at him.
"Young man sit down and we will talk about your mate," Merlin said and I sat down. I looked at Merlin and tried to be patient. "I had a vision of your mate swimming in a lake and then a woman who looks like Cassandra appeared and took her," I growled and felt the table vibrate.
"Merlin Cassandra has gone dark," Airalynn said.
"How long has she been dark?" He asked.
"A few days now," Dylan said. I was in shock. Why has my aunt taken my mate? Is Morgan ok?
"That is not good because if she has gone dark then she has aligned herself with Desmond the Demon King's son."
"So is my mate with him?" Hunter asked.
"Hunter from what I saw your mate will be his queen and with the power, they both have they will start a war." I saw my vision go red and I growled so loud that the table shook and I saw it c***k.
"Calm yourself, son," Ryan said as he placed a hand on my shoulders and began to whisper in my ear.
"Hunter it will be ok we will get her back. You have my pack and my allies who will help get her back." He said and I just nodded.
"How can we help her?" Dylan asked,
"Getting to the underworld is very tricky and takes time."
"If Cassandra can do it then we will too," I said through gritted teeth. I was holding the edge of the table and I could feel the wood beginning to break.
"Son it is easier said than done. Cassandra is dark and due to the fact she is a neutral witch, she most likely has contacts to the underworld. Unfortunately, I do not have any contacts to the underworld and I know those in this room do not. It will take time."
"How much time?" Zeon asked.
"That I do not know but I do suggest strengthening your borders and continuing what you were doing. I will be leaving in the morning to go hunt down some contacts and see how we get to the underworld." Merlin said. "Hunter and Dylan this will take time. It might take a week, a month, or even a day. I have no clue how long it will take I need you to hold it together. You can not allow this pack to fall to pieces. Train your men and become strong." He said.
"I will try," I said and left the room.
Finding out I might not see my mate for months is killing me. I was so wrapped up in the pack that I made hardly any time for her. I went up into our room and laid down on her pillow allowing her scent to calm my wolf and I laid down and fell asleep.
I'm not sure how long I slept for but I woke up to the worst pain I had ever felt. It felt like someone was stabbing me in the stomach with a knife and liquid fire spreading through my body. I screamed and the next thing I know Dylan was in my room trying to talk to me. My vision began to blur and I passed out.
I woke up to the beeping sounds of the heart monitor and looked around. Katherine and my mother were sitting beside my bed. "Mom," I said not caring which women responded.
"Hunter love are you ok?" Katherine said as she got up and reached for my hand. My mom also woke up and sat next to me.
"What happened?" I asked. Both Katherine and my mom looked at each other but didn't say a word. "Will someone tells me what happened?"
"Honey I think it would it be best if you waited for Ryan and Dylan to come here." My mom said.
"It's that bad," I asked.
"Yes, honey." My mom said.
I sat there wondering what was wrong with me but thankfully I did not have to wait long because Dylan and Ryan walked in several minutes later.
"Your up," Dylan said with a smile.
"Ya. What happened and how long have I been out?" I asked.
"Um," Dylan said but before he could say anything else Ryan touched his shoulder.
"I got this Dylan." He said and Dylan nodded. "You have been out for two days."
"So Merlin has left." Ryan nodded his head yes. "So what happened?"
"What you felt was the pain of your mate cheating on you," I growled.
"She would never do that" I shouted. I felt my mom grab my hand.
"I know son but that is what happens when someone mates with someone who is not their mate. It is the mate bond. We will get her back and help her heal." He said. I just sat there tuning everyone out.
