Chapter 41

2644 Words

"I promise I won't harm you," He said and I wondered when he was going to leave me. I was starting to suffocate now. "You can sleep here and I will take the couch. I don't want to be alone today...Please.."  "I...I don't know, " I muttered, knotting my fingers together. "Its...its weird," "Just as a friend, nothing more," He insisted, finally letting me go. "Please?"  I stared at him and realised how sick he looked. There was no one here to take care of him and boys suck at stuff like that. Eighteen years with Adrian and I knew that pretty well. What would I have done if it was Adrian and not him? I already knew the answer. I would have stayed without asking a single question. I sighed. Pathetic...I was simply pathetic.  "Okay," I answered at last and his answering smile was grateful.
