The ride back home was filled with silence to my relief. Both Alyssa and Adrian were lost in some kind of thought and as for me, I was always lost in some thought or other anyway. It was getting cloudier outside and I hoped it won't rain. I hated rain. The relentless splattering of raindrops and the gloomy environment outside, I simply hated that.  I turned my glance from out of the window to Alyssa and noticed she and Adrian were holding hands, as they were both in the front. Adrian was driving and holding hands! He was risking our lives! I rolled my eyes at my pathetic excuse to hide my jealousy.
