Chapter 3

Alexa POV

I turn on my ipod playing I don't care by Bieber and Ed shiren. And then took a shower as I singing the song.

After finished I wear my jeans and t-shirt and put on my glasses, I don't even need it. Yes, the glass was just a disguise. I have to disguise because max told me that I wasn't safe yet. Harry told him that the scar man still looking for me. It seems it become his personal problem about his missing necklace and one of his victim.

Max and I don't have a social media, never showed up our picture anywhere. We don't even have our picture in our house, the only picture was in my wallet. Max said we might had to leave anytime, we don't want to leave a trace.

I don't know who was his name, but I know his face. He has scar on his temple.

I walked outside my house when I heard a car horn. It was Kate.

" Let's go girl" she said. Asking me to hurry up and step up on her car.

" coming" I said as I closed the door and walked fast to her car.

I sat on her passenger seat.

" All right! Graduation, here we come!!" she said happily. She such a chear up girl, unlike me, who like to stayed quite and talked less.

" So what are you going to wear?" she asked me.

" I don't know yet. I don't have any idea."

" Oh come on Alexandra! You are going to a graduation and then we are having a graduation party. It's one in a live time. You don't graduate from college everyday" she said.

She got the point but I just shrugged. It doesn't matter to me. I have to stayed low, right? Kate didn't know about my past, that Max was not my real father, and I wasn't always me as she always think of me. I have some ability that max had. I just don't showed it. I know I didnt fair with her. But it was for the best.

" Relax, I'll choose the dress for you. " she said grinning at me. Great, now she will choose the dress for me.

We arrive in the shop in 10 minutes. She walked excitingly like a kid enter a candy shop. The shop was quite full with college student looking for graduation dress. I wasn't sure I will find the right dress for my self.

" let's go Alexandra" she said as she grab my hand and walked me in between dresses. We splited up as she lively walking around the dress shop. I was just walked slowly, spotting some dress I thought will be good but I passed it in second thought. This dress to open up, that dress too much, and so on.

" Alexa, what do you think?" Kate asked me while she trying a mini navy one shoulder bodycon dress.

" You looked beautiful Kate" I told her. The dress looked suit with her red hair. She looked beautiful

" do you think so?" she asked me.

" definitely" I said.

" alright, I take this." she said

She walked back to the changing room and took awhile before she come out.

" Okay, now is your turn" she said.

She draged me and looked around dress for me. She took a red bodycon dress.

" oh no! No! Max will killed me if I wear that!" I said

" Gosh, you are a grown up Alexa!" Kate shout at me.

" I'll pass that one" I said

We walked around and found few more dress, and we bring 2 dress to the fitting room.

The first one was the bodycon orange dress, the colour was great, but it was too tight in my body.

" Damn Alexa! looked at that glasshour body of yours!" she said as she cover her mouth. Oh well, she never saw me wear this kind of dress, neither do I. I was surprised my self that my body grow up amazingly.

" okay, that's enough. I'll try the other one" i said as I took off the bodycon dress and wear sleeveless mini green forest dress. The colour was great and it suit well in me, not to tight, even though it still showing my curve. But I think it should be okay since I will wear regalia anyway.

" Okay, I think I take this one." I said

" I like the orange one, you'll turned head where ever you go." she said. Oh well, that's the last thing I want to do.

" I like this one" I said as I take the green dress and put it to the shopping bag.

" How much money do you have?" she asked me.

"Enough" I said

"Can you buy these two?" she asked me again

" I think so. Max gave me more this morning"

" Great, we take these two. The other one for the beach party" she said as she drag me to the cashier.

" Do you have the shoes already?" she asked me

" not yet" I said as I don't have a lot of heels at home.

" let's pay this and we look for your shoes." she said.

We paid the dresses and then she took me to a shoes shop. After a little argument and tried a few shoes, I finally buy this silver low heels shoes. It suit well with the dress. I rarely use a heels, only have one black low heel at home I usually used when I have some formal occasion with Max. I'd rather to use my sneaker or sandals for daily activity.

" well, you'll look great at the graduation" she said.

" Oh, and we had a party in the beach after the graduation, don't forget that." she said again. " use something sexy" she said winked at me.

" Not sure if I'm going to the party" I said.

" I'm not going without you, so you better be ready" she said grinning at me.

" I have a lunch with Max and Anny after my graduation."

" After that silly. Oh wait, we should find you a date for the party." she said as she pat on her forehead

" Eric will picked me up for the party" she said

" You don't have to. I'm not going to the party. I have to help max at the shop." I said.

" Seriously Alexandra? You have a graduation party and you choose to get your hand dirty in a repair shop?" she said hysterically. " What are you?"

Oh well, I'm a human who have to limit my social interaction because of a f*****g monster looking for me. That's me.

" if you don't have a date, you can come with me. Period." she said insisted.

What? I don't want to be in the back seat when they are Smooching or make out or what ever.

" Don't worry I'll have a date, so you can go with Eric without me. "I just said.

" You do? Who? " she asked me.

Uh oh who? I can't think a name.

" I'll find one" I said to her. Now I have to find a date. And probably it was impossible since the graduation is only 3 days from now. Everyone should have a date already, except me. Screwed me.

Not that I never had a date. I have few dates before, maybe kissing here and there.. But nothing so special. No one really interest me so far.

" I'll help you with that. How about Jimmy? You date him once.. Or maybe Zack? Oh I think he already go with Stacy... Wait... Isn't Gary asked you for a date a few times?" she asked me.

"mmm... Ya?" I'm not sure about Gary, I say no to him for a reason.

" let's find something to eat. I'm starving. We can make the list while eating. " she said.

" Yup, let's go!" I was so agree to her to get something to eat. My stomach grumble since we got to the shoes shop.

' have you decide your date?' - Kate text me.

Damn. I forgot to call these guys on my date list. I put my hand on my jeans's pocket and started to look for the small paper Kate gave me. It wasn't on my jeans pocket.

I forgot I wear another jeans yesterday. It should be in the laundry basket. I stood up and walked to the bathroom hoping it was still there. I dig on my laundry basket and found the jeans I wore yesterday.

I reach into the pocket and glad that I found the folded paper Kate gave me yesterday. I unfolded the paper and read the list.

My phone biping again. Another text message from Kate.

' which one is your date Alexandra?' - Kate text me

' still working on it' - I text her back.

Okay, I better started to make a call. I dial Jimmy's phone as he is in the top list.

" Hey Jimmy."

" Hey Alexa"

" are you going to the beach party?" I asked him

" Yup Alexa, but I... I'm going with Megan." he said.

" Oh that's great! I was just make sure you know there is a beach party. Yup. That's it." I said as I bite my lower lips and bend down

"Okay Alexa. I got it. Thanks" Jimmy said

"Okay Jimmy, bye" I said as I hanged up the phone.

Shit. This is embarrassing!!

Gosh.. 3 more to go!

Gary, Brian or Scott? Like I really have a choice. Or maybe I just go by my self. That's good. That's cool!

Nope! that's not cool at all! s**t!

Okay, Scott it is.

I dialed Scott number, after a few rings he answer it.

" Ya?"

" Hi Scott, I'm Alexa."

" Oh hi Alexa. What's up?"

Uh oh how am I going to asked him?

Okay, just say it.

" Do you want to go to the beach party with me?" I asked him bluntly.

" Sorry Alexa, I already asked Amy."

" Oh okay. That's fine Scott. I was just asking. That's all. "

" Okay Alexa, sorry.

" bye Scott. "

" Bye Alexa"

Okay 2 go and it wasn't working well.

Let's decide which one to call first? Gary or Brian? Gary been asking me date few times, but the thing is... he was just... too nice. I mean he say yes to everything I say and he didnt have any opinion of his own. He was to.. easy? That's all.

And Brian? I don't really know Brian. I just met him few time in the college. He is Kate's computer sains friend. Kate said he haven't got any date yet.

Maybe I just go with the easy one.

I phone call Gary.

" Hi Alexa?" he said like he was surprised I called him

" Yup, its me Gary." I said

" what's up Alexa?"

" hey, you know the beach party after our graduation? I wonder if we can go together." I said. I was so sure that he will say yes to this.

" beach party? I'd love to, but..."

Oh okay, what's with that 'but' word?

" I already got a date, sorry. " he said

What? Even Gary already had a date! I'm doom!!

" You do? Oh okay. " I said.

" Sorry Alexa, I though you don't want to go with me. "he said. Oh well, he is too nice isn't he?

" It's fine Gary. I thought that I wouldnt come but I change my mind. " I explained.

" Yeah, I'm sorry. " he said

" It's Okay, bye Gary." I said

" Bye Alexa"

Damn! Now I had to call Brian.

" Hey Brian, it's Alexa." I said

" Oh hi Alexa. What's up?"

" Kate said you haven't got any date for the beach party."

" mm I'm not sure if I want to come to the party." he said. This could be bad.

" Me too, but than I change my mind. Do you want to go with me if you change your mind?"

I said.

" It could be fun Brian. Just go there and have fun. " am I sound desperate?

" I don't know Alexa. I don't really like party." he said.

I know he is almost like a nerd. Kate said he took most of the time with his computers and people said he is damn smart.

" Me either. " I said exhale.

" Well, if you change your mind, just call me. " I said.

" Did Kate told you to asked me? " he asked me. What should I say?

" mmm ya? Well, I didn't plan to go to the party, but she insist. And then I though party will be fun." I answer him honestly.

Now, I lost my chance to have a date. Silly me.

" Okay then, I'll go with you. " he said in a very standar tone, like it was nothing.

" Will you? "

" Yup. Send me your address, I'll pick you up for the party. " he said.

" Okay. But, the party is in the next 2 days.."

" yeah, I know that."

" Okay, great! I'll send you. Thanks Brian"

" No problem Alexa. Bye."

" Bye."

Wow! So, I had a date with Brian now! I guess we both didn't interest to the party too much. Just go there for awhile and the go home. Sound a perfect plan.
