I stood in the shower for longer than I should have, but I couldn’t seem to move. I felt strange. My mind kept running away with me. I thought I was losing my mind for a while there. After Ivy and I talked, I came to the bathroom and spaced out. I kept seeing flashes of images that made no sense – a room of fire, monsters beside a pool of faces, and a man with immense power radiating off of him.
The hot water pounded down on me as I washed my hair and body. All the while, these images swam through my mind, each one like a montage, always coming back to the same man. I still couldn’t contact Nyko, so I had no clue if he was seeing the same thing.
