Ivy “Triton!” Ava runs to her mate and clambers into his lap. “Please don’t let them take me.” Triton’s eyes glow with determination as he looks at Ava’s tear-streaked face. “Ava, please,” He begs, his voice choked with emotion. “You must return to Lykos. You’ll be safe with your cousins. You belong with them.” Ava shakes her head violently, clutching at Triton’s shoulder. "No, Triton," She sobs. “I can’t leave you. I’ll never see you again.” Triton closes his eyes, fighting back the tears threatening to fall from his green eyes. I swallow back my own emotions. I can only imagine how Ava is feeling right now. I know I wouldn’t want to leave Azrael if we were in this position. But Ava needs to learn when to act like a scared kid and when to be an adult. I understand all of this is scary
