The next day, Andi turned the hot shower off and dried with the towel, rubbing through her hair. She barely got any sleep last night once she made it home and to bed because her thoughts were on yesterday’s shooting. Victor promised their boss he’d stick beside her at all times, so she knew going off on her own wouldn’t work. Andi came out of the bathroom, blow-dried her hair, and pulled it into a tight ponytail. “Here, you look like you need this.” Whitney pushed a cup of coffee into her hands. Andi sipped. “Thanks.” “Hilary told me everything.” Whitney sat on the chair in her bedroom and watched her put on minimal makeup. “Heartbreaking.” “Have you talked to your parents?” Andi sighed. “Not yet, but I will.” “Aaron said your mother tried to contact you.” Whitney and Andi knew
