CHAPTER 5

-TELLING THE SECRET-

Gigi barely hid her excitement. She rushed to her dad and pulled him to a tight embrace.

" What is it, my daughter?" He was anxious to know what was making her so excited.

" She is pregnant, dad. Your plan worked," Gigi said and he burst into a rib cracking laughter.

"I told you that you have nothing to worry about, didn't I?" He reminded her.

" Yes dad," Gigi said and a minute passed before she realised that they had to talk of Anabelle. For some reason, she could not stand her. She was not over the fact that her husband had s*x with her for a long while, he has never been this way with her.

To add salt to the injury, she changed him. Right now, Richard is more obsessed with her. He has never been this way before. There was surely something about Anabelle that she was jealous of. She deserves to have this kind of power, not Anabelle.

" What about Anabelle? How do we go about this?" Gigi asked.

" Let me remind you that I don't like her. I tolerated her for the sake of the pregnancy," Gigi added.

" You have nothing to worry about. She is a servant. She will always be a servant. We will control her the way that we want. " He said not knowing that Anabelle was right outside the door. She had come to get water when she heard them talking about her.

" Sometimes you shock me dad, you talk as if she is not your daughter. Anyway, I am happy that you have made me the apple of your eye," Gigi said, arching her lips upwards.

" I don't like her. I hate her," He said and Anabelle could not take it. The glass fell off her hands and shattered, pouring all the content on the floor.

The noise caught the attention of Gigi and her dad who rushed there and found her trying to gather the broken pieces of the glass with her hand.

" Stop it for goodness sake . You are going to hurt yourself. " Gigi said she did not want her to get hurt because she is carrying her baby.

" Be more careful next time. Go to your room and rest, the other maid will clear this mess," He ordered and Anabelle left, her eyes forcing an ocean of tears.

She couldn't believe that her own father would confess to hating her. What did she do to deserve this? All that she knows is that she has tried so much to be a good daughter.

This plan had really gone the opposite direction. Her father did not end up liking and adoring her yet she is pregnant.

Anabelle went to the bathroom and fried even more. She wished that this was a horrific dream that she could easily wake up from.

As she wiped her tears away after a long while of crying, a thought came to mind. Richard is in the dark about all this and maybe if he tells him the truth then he will divorce Gigi because she is barren and be with her because she is pregnant for him.

This way, she will be with the man of her dreams and her life will take a positive turn because right now, she is falling apart.
