Eve's heart was thudding in her chest as she knocked softly on his door. Suddenly her hands were shaking. She didn't know if she was going to stand maintaining eye contact with him. She had told herself that she was going to do this, standing strong and not allowing her body to react to his presence but right now she had zero confidence about that.
" Come on," Richard said and Eve knew that this was time. She sighed loudly before turning the doorknob.
