I awoke to a splitting headache. The ponding in my head had me wincing in pain from any sudden movement I made. I turned my head and buried my face in the sheets, the scent of a rainstorm off in the distance filled my nostrils and I couldn’t help but take a deep breath. My body relaxed on its own and the pain in my head started to ease slightly.
Aurora whines in the back of my mind, she is rolling on her back as if she is trying to cover herself in as much of this scent as she could and I could not help but laugh at her.
