CALEB POV I paced restlessly in the cramped hideout, my anxiety palpable. The dim light filtered through the small hole in the wall, casting eerie shadows. The musty scent of dampness hung in the air, mingling with the faint smell of fear. "Calm down before you dig a hole in the ground from all of your pacing," Colson sighed, his voice heavy with concern. "How do you expect me to calm down when Rain is out there in this hellish city with the dragon who almost took her life?" I snapped, my voice filled with frustration. Colson placed a comforting hand on my shoulder, slumping down against some worn pillows. "I expect you to calm down because Rain wants you to trust her," he said softly. "And here I thought the city above was bad. I can’t even imagine what Rain went through down here.”
