The piercing, high-pitched sound of my phone alarm reverberated through the room, drilling into my skull. I had never experienced a hangover this intense before, and the pain throbbed like a relentless hammer. Without thinking, I snatched my phone and forcefully slammed it onto the table, finally silencing the noise. As I shifted in bed, I realized it was empty, instantly jolting me awake.
