Caleb POV Mace's silence weighed heavily on me, his anger mirroring my own for taking control of me so forcefully. Not only had he put me at risk, but he had also endangered Rain, who was already in pain. As we returned to my room, Rain returned to the bathroom. Thankfully, my mother had intervened and turned off the water while we were away. However, this also meant she witnessed the havoc we had wreaked upon the room. This time, I chose not to join Rain in the bathroom. Instead, I sank onto my flattened bed, burying my face in my hands. I was at a loss for words, overwhelmed by embarrassment.
