Though I had unwavering faith in her abilities, a lingering sense of dread gnawed at me. There was an unmistakable ache, as if something terrible was about to unfold. Even during her private conversation with Barys, I couldn't shake the feeling that she was withholding something crucial from me. The unease had settled in since our departure from the club last night, as if an important secret was eating away at her, just as it ate at me.
