She was alive, all this time my daughter has been alive. Part of me wanted to seek out this undercity and go myself, but I would put my trust in Rain, especially after seeing what she was. She was the one who knew where to find my daughter, and I agreed she would be the one to know how to get her to me. I just worried about Caleb. He was family to me, and I could already see how attached he was to Rain. I understood she was protecting him by going alone. I had a feeling she was protecting him from a whole lot more danger than he knew about. But I also knew if anything were to happen to her, it would drive him crazy. The problem was she had a demon mark, and that meant they had control of her. It was something not even a dragon could fight, and she was smart enough to know that.
