March 17, 2230, Approaching Venusian Orbit aboard the Argo
“Should I wake Cutter up?” Erik asked from his seat beside Jia in the cockpit.
They’d been alone together for the last four hours of the trip. Raphael had spent most of the trip experiencing a fictionalized account of the adventures of the Obsidian Detective and Lady Justice in the nano-AR room.
Lanara kept to the engine room, appearing only briefly for meals. Jia couldn’t tell if she was annoyed or happy with the new ship, but she’d made it clear she had numerous adjustments and modifications she needed and wanted to make. Cutter had spent a lot of the time in the cockpit, but he’d also done something that had surprised both Jia and Erik.
