The dawn of what is generally recognized in retrospect as a brilliant career requires more than a mixture of ability and good fortune. Without the well-functioning machinery of a support system, the sun wouldn’t rise to illuminate the said career. This was most certainly the case in the genesis of Jake Conley’s secret service profession. Interceptions and localization of mobile phone calls led to the arrest of two of the neo-Nazis in the Pocklington chapter. Conley’s role in their apprehension involved nothing more than laborious contacting of the right people, without undue delay. In turn, they moved swiftly and had the methods and means to break down the feeble resistance, bordering on rank cowardice, of one of the two prisoners.
