I sat in the back garden with Josh, the breeze gently rustling the leaves overhead. "So, spill the tea, Dani. What's the deal with Mr. Brooding Alpha?" Josh teased, sipping his cocktail.
I chuckled, "Oh, you know. He's just got some mysterious past he's not sharing."
Josh raised an eyebrow. "Dahlia-related mysterious?"
I sighed, "Yeah. I've tried prying, but he shuts down every time."
As we laughed about the complexities of supernatural drama, Luke strolled up, breaking into our conversation. "Hey you two. Tyler will be here soon."
